About Us...
Derby Extreme Cheer Academy CIC is Derby’s largest cheerleading gym and was the first dedicated cheerleading facility to open in Derby.
We’re proud to be home to a thriving community of around 400 athletes, welcoming children and adults aged 3+ of all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced athletes.

Many of our athletes have been part of Derby Extreme from a young age, growing up within the academy, progressing through our programmes and creating lasting friendships and memories along the way.
​
Our athletes are supported by a dedicated team of 15 coaches and 6 junior coaches, all passionate about helping every athlete develop their skills, confidence and love for cheerleading.
All our coaches are fully qualified, First Aid trained and hold a valid DBS check, ensuring every athlete trains in a safe, professional and supportive environment.
We offer three pathways — Cheer for Fun, our UK Programme and our International Programme — providing opportunities for everyone, whether they want to enjoy cheer recreationally, compete across the UK or take their journey to the international stage.

At Derby Extreme Cheer Academy, we’re proud to offer our athletes a fantastic training environment with equipment designed to support their development at every level.
Our dedicated cheer gym features a full 9-panel sprung floor, 9m fast track with incline, sprung tumble track, multiple air tracks and a range of specialist tumbling training aids.
As a Community Interest Company, profits are reinvested back into the academy, helping us continually improve our facilities and invest in new equipment for our athletes.
